Rental Requirements : All renters must be able to provide the following:
- Valid driver’s license
- Passport copy with visa page
- Authorized credit card
Note: A credit card imprint will be taken and security amounts
will blocked upon pick-up of the vehicle as a security.
Age: Renters must be 21 years old at the time of rental.
Driving license: All drivers must carry a locally accepted driving
license. Only Oman license are allowed for Oman residents which has completed at
least 1 year from the date of issue. Visitors are encouraged to have an International
driving license prior from arrival to the Oman.
Fuel:Vehicle will be provided in full fuel tank, In case, the vehicle
is returned with less fuel, Dollar refueling charges will apply.
Accidents: In the occurrence of accident or damage on the vehicle,
you must notify the police. A police report is mandatory is such cases otherwise
you will be held responsible for the entire cost of damage on the vehicle.
Insurance Excess: The customer will be responsible to settle the
Insurance Excess or deductible amount listed on the Vehicle Hire Agreement in the
event of any damage or loss (including fire and theft) caused to the vehicle provided
it is used, operated or driven in conformity with the Vehicle Hire Agreement. A
valid police report is mandatory.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Is an optional waiver of the client’s
responsibility to pay for damages to or loss of use and any related costs and expenses
resulting from any collision or damage to the rented vehicle. The waiver can be
purchased at the commencement of the rental and will apply only when listed as an
extra charge on the Vehicle Hire Agreement and when supported by a valid police
report. If a hirer does not produce an original police report, he/she will be responsible
for all repair costs and damages including third party costs.
Personal Accident Insurance to add more security on your driving,
we also offer Personal Accident Insurance, this can purchased at an additional cost
which covers the driver and the passengers.*Conditions Apply
Hit and Run Policy: If the renter has an accident and obtains a
hit and run police report, whether it is his fault or not, he is liable to pay Dollar
Rent A Car half the amount of insurance excess listed on the Vehicle Hire agreement.
If the client opts for CDW, this clause does not apply. Police report is a must.
Driving Across Border: Hirer must obtain permission to cross the
border from the Dollar Rent A Car office after the payment of additional Insurance
and other service charges. Dollar Oman has the sole discretion to accept or cancel
any border crossing request.
Additional Drivers:A surcharge of R.O. 2/- per day will be charged
for every additional driver.
Traffic violations:Drivers are expected to abide with the traffic
rules and regulations. For every traffic fine incurred it will be charged directly
to the Hirer.
Delivery & Collection:This will be free of charge within the
city limits of Muscat. A prior arrangement is required.
Chauffer Services:English speaking drivers are available on request.
Daily rate charge RO 20/- (8 hours) on regular days. For weekend or holidays charge
per day will be RO 25/ (8 hours). Driver’s extra rate per hour will be R.O. 2/-
per hour.
Payments: Clients have the option to pay in cash or credit for
their rental. (Note: Credit card is still required for security). Debit cards are
not accepted as a security.
Salik: All of our vehicles are installed with Salik sticker which
will be Dhs. 5 per passage at the Salik toll gates. (Applicable for vehicles used
within UAE).
